(The colorful version of these posters are reproduced from originals that I create on sanded birch wood panels where I paint the background and screen print the graphic.)
This design was born in the Smokey Mountains of Asheville, NC. Inspired by the amazing nature there while wanting to express a replinishment idea of sorts, I felt the vulneralbility of deer as they hang helpless by a string of parachutes would make clean, clear silhouettes that would speak to the fragility of the natural world. I have the deer dropping from a WW2 era B-17 bomber as an homage to my grandfather who flew in the war during that time.
Each poster is printed on high quality 11x17 inch thick 14 point paper. I ship the poster rolled in a cello sleeve and a sturdy mailing tube. Thanks for looking!
