This is a new poster that uses and older, but revised sketch of mine on a new background. The image shows a little girl sewing wings on to her friend's or brother's back so that he can fly. This image has many possibilities for interpretation and I'll leave it up to you to decide how you feel; but I see it as a gift that she is giving him, a gift of flight, magic, and ultimately freedom.
When I was a boy, I told my mother that I was planning on sewing wings that I had constructed from umbrella parts into my back. I envisioned them healing there and becoming part of my body. It only seemed natural to me that these wings would enable me to finally fly. Well, mom would not have it and the wings never did get sewn in, luckily.
Each poster is printed on high quality 11x17 inch thick 14 point paper. I ship the poster rolled in a cello sleeve and a sturdy mailing tube. Thanks for looking!
